Choose what Home nudges you about

Turn off intake or invoice reminders if you handle those outside DoulaFlow — and what you give up when you do.

If you collect intake on paper, or bill outside DoulaFlow, the reminders about those aren't much use to you. You can turn them off.

  1. Go to Home.
  2. Click the settings button at the top right of the header.
  3. The panel is titled What we nudge you about. Flip a switch off.

Each switch saves the moment you flip it — there's no separate save step. These two switches live on Home, not in Settings.

The two switches. Both start on, and each says what you lose if you turn it off, because that's the part worth knowing.

Intake forms:

Turn this off if you collect intake on paper or use your own form. You'll stop seeing intake reminders — and DoulaFlow won't be able to tell you which clients still haven't sent theirs back.

Invoices and payments:

Turn this off if you track payments outside DoulaFlow. You'll stop seeing invoice reminders — and DoulaFlow won't be able to tell you who still owes you.

Turning one off makes Home quiet, not empty — the reminders simply stop appearing. Nothing takes their place: there's no "invoice reminders are off" placeholder holding space on your screen for a part of DoulaFlow you don't use.

Nothing else changes. Your invoices, your intake forms, and your clients all stay exactly as they were — this only decides whether Home brings them up.

What you can't switch off. Birth and appointment reminders always stay on, and there's no third switch for them. Those are the ones you'd most regret missing, so they aren't optional. If you go looking for a way to silence them, it isn't hidden somewhere — it doesn't exist.

These settings are yours alone. They don't change anything for anyone else in your practice.
